Tips for Getting More Calcium in Your Diet

  • Make soups such as tomato, chowders, and cream-type soups with milk instead of water.
  • Stir milk into scrambled eggs.
  • Add cottage cheese to casseroles and noodles.
  • Make oatmeal with milk instead of water.
  • Serve milk-based desserts such as puddings, tapioca, frozen yogurt, custard, or ice cream.
  • Add nonfat dry milk to foods such as casseroles, meatloaf, and baked goods.
  • Calcium is found in broccoli and mangos.

Calcium helps your muscles contract, heart beat, and blood clot.  It also helps with weight loss.
