The U.S. department of Justice defines domestic violence as
"a pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used by one partner
to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner."
Domestic violence can be physical, sexual, emotional,
economic or psychological and include any behaviors that intimidate,
manipulate, humiliate, isolate, frighten, terrorize, coerce, threaten, blame,
hurt, injure or wound.
Domestic violence is no respecter of race, age, sexual
orientation, religion or gender. It can happen to anyone.

"This is
the best thing I've done in several years. I've lost 38 pounds; but the biggest
accomplishment for me is that I went from a size 40" to a size 34" waist! This
shows just how easy it is to follow a fitness program, change a lifestyle and,
for me, my well being. My blood pressure has dropped, sugar levels are better
and my joints don't hurt me anymore." Bob, Woodland Park, CO
