Mar's Kroger Ice Cream Recall

Ice Cream Recall - Allergy Alert - Undeclared Peanuts in Dove Caramel Pecan Perfection Ice Cream

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment today announced Mars Snackfood US has voluntarily recalled its Dove Caramel Pecan Perfection ice cream because it may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. For consumers who do not suffer from a peanut allergy or sensitivity, this product is safe to eat. The voluntary recall is limited to lot number 931AB5YN07, found on the bottom of the container. The product is sold in a brown and gold 15.10 fl. oz. pint container and pictures a ribbon of caramel, pecans and a square of Dove® Brand Chocolate on the front.

According to a Kroger representative, all recalled product has been pulled from Colorado stores. The product was distributed in Colorado statewide to King Soopers and City Market stores. The product also was distributed in 18 other states.  

Consumers who purchased the product affected by this voluntary recall should return it to the store where they purchased it for a full refund. Consumers with questions may call Mars Snackfood US, toll-free number 800-551-0895, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
