Am I Vitamin D Deficient?

Am I Vitamin D Deficient?

Good Question! There is no way to know for certain until you get a  25-hydoxyvitamin D test, also called a 25(OH)D.  We now know the minimal acceptable levels should be above 50 ng/ml year-round, in both children and adults. In a recent study, scientists found that at levels lower than that, the body uses up vitamin D as fast as you can make it, or take it.
