Prenatal Plus Services
Prenatal Plus team members empower you to make lifestyle changes that will positively impact your pregnancy and result in a healthy baby. We allow you to define your own goals, while offering encouragement and assistance in achieving those goals.

Prenatal Plus is a support program. We are here to listen to you. During your pregnancy and for up to two months after your baby comes, the Prenatal plus team will be here for you.
You will be seen in the office and at home for visits throughout your pregnancy and up to 60 days postpartum. The “model care” package of services includes 8 office visits and 2 home visits for the best outcomes in risk reduction among the clients and healthier birth outcomes for their babies.
Prenatal Plus Eligibility
Women must be Medicaid-eligible in order to receive Prenatal Plus services. Clients complete an initial comprehensive risk assessment to determine needs and qualifying risks for the program.

Prenatal Plus Results
In 2005, 2,354 women received Prenatal Plus services. Those women who completed the program through delivery had an average low birth weight rate of 12.6%, significantly lower than the estimated rate of 13.8% if these same women had received no intervention services.
